Look for the section titled Language . (On older Steam layouts, you may need to click a dropdown menu; on newer versions, it is immediately visible).

Open the Epic Games Launcher .

Open your Steam Library and locate Civilization VI . Look for the section titled Language

Click the dropdown menu that currently says Русский (Russian) and change it to English . on newer versions

On the left side of the Properties window, click the tab labeled General . Look for the section titled Language

Steam will now download a small language pack (usually 100-300 MB). Wait for the download to complete.

Open AppOptions.txt using Notepad (or any text editor). Do not use Word.
